Denver Colorado Area Information

The mile high city of Denver Colorado is both exciting and beautiful. A true four-seasons area, Denver and her surrounding environs offer something for everyone. With its skyscrapers marking the final transition between the Great Plains and the American West, Denver stands at the threshold of the Rocky Mountains. Despite being known as the "Mile High City," and serving as the obvious point of arrival for travelers heading into the mountains, it is itself uniformly flat. The majestic peaks are clearly visible, but they only begin to rise roughly fifteen miles west of downtown, and Denver has, during the last century, had plenty of room to spread out.

These days, Denver is both welcoming and enjoyable. Things to do while staying close to the city should include a visit to our Denver Museum of Nature and History, the Art Museum, the Denver Botanical Gardens, or the Denver Zoo Catch a game with any of our 4 professional sports teams; football, baseball, basketball or hockey at the Pepsi Center, Coors Field or Invesco Field at Mile High.

Teledyne Cougar / Lakewood is located minutes from downtown Denver. Rock on at a concert in the Red Rocks Amphitheater, or cheer the stock cars at Bandimere Speedway. Experience the wide variety of attractions minutes from our office: the Fossil Footprints of Dinosaur Ridge, the kid sized amusement park, Tiny Town, the fur trapper atmosphere of the world famous Fort Restaurant, cliff diving at Casa Bonita, the historic town of Morrison and White Fence Farm, home of a three-story indoor slide and Denver's best fried chicken. Nearby shopping and movies are available at Bel Mar, Colorado Mills, Southwest Plaza and a dozen other retail outlets. Revel in a wild west experience at the Coors Brewery, historic downtown Golden, the wild buffalo herd at Genesse Park, Buffalo Bill's Grave and Heritage Square Amusement Park. Enjoy nature and our Rocky Mountains - do some some mountain biking, hiking and camping in the summer, and of course skiing in the winter months.
